Two Years

March 7, 2016

Two years ago today I woke up and started my first day working from home as a “full-time” photographer. By full-time, I don’t mean I had a jam-packed schedule, I didn’t have 25+ weddings on the books, but I mean I was no longer working my day job. Our company was down sizing and there was no longer a need for my position. This was the biggest blessing in disguise that could have happened to us.

I never made the announcement that I was pursing my career as a wedding photographer full-time because to be honest, I was scared. I was worried that if I made the announcement I would jinx myself somehow. I thought, what if I make this big announcement about going full-time and then we can’t afford for this to be my only source of income and I have to go back to work a day job? I had a lot of self-doubt and thought there is no way I am good enough to do this! But with the encouragement from my wonderful husband and YOU GUYS, my amazing couples – it was possible!

Tyler has always been my biggest cheerleader when it comes to this business. I truly believe that a great deal of my success is owed to those who have supported and encouraged me in this adventure. It is because of my husband, and you guys, my own personal cheerleaders + rad couples who put their full trust in me to capture one of the important day of their lives! To you I am forever grateful.

Today I can say that because of all of you, we have a 2016 full of 28 weddings! We cannot wait to photograph these beautiful wedding days! We are truly blessed.
